Where does everyone carry their papers on their bike?

might try a search for this one (top of the page)...think it was asked just last month...I keep my papers in my riding jacket which I always wear...I don't keep them on the bike itself

I have mine in a plastic baggie folded inside my map in my toolbag.

Some keep them in a plastic bag under the ignition module cover.

I use a baggy inside of my fork bag too...

I put a few critical items in there. Ins & Reg, map, small tools, extra lights, etc.

My states reg paper's are a full 8 1/2 x 11 so I copied them off and shrunk them down to about the size of a drivers license, did the same with the insurance card. Then I laminated them and keep them in my wallet.

In my riding jacket.....they go wherever I go. Never had the habit of keeping them in/on the vehicle.

Welcome aboard. I keep all my legal papers in a ziplock bag in my sissy bar/ tool bag. Above the drivers visor in my Bronko II.

that's a great idea...I like that one...even if not used as a primary copy, it would be a great backup to have in your wallet...I think I'll do that!

I use one of those plastic Packing Slip pouches with the sticky back on it. I pulled off the Battery Cover and stuck it on the inside. I left the door to it with the paper on it so I could slide a photocopy of the papers in and out. Just as a safety measure I hold the whole thing down with a small magnet. Works good and stays dry even when I wash the bike. I also carry a shrunk down photocopy in my wallet just in case the battery cover falls off like I have read here :doh

I keep all my papers (bike, car, and driver license) in a little folding wallet-thingy (looks like it was originally used for a convention), and just tuck it in my inside vest pocket or my outside chest pocket if I'm wearing the jacket. That way, no matter which vehicle I take, I pick up the same packet and I'm good to go.

Used to carry 'em in my saddlebag.
Now i have 2 copies each so i can drag'em along in my jackets. (1 for goin to work, the other one for sunday rides).
I like that idea with the shrinking and laminating.

In NY state a copy is fine, so I keep them in a ziploc in the saddlebags. The originals are in a safe with the title.

One of the disadvantages of riding on a military base is that you have to wear a reflective vest when riding. However there is an advantage to the having to wear the vest anytime you ride. I keep my papers in a pocket of the vest in double zip-lock bags.

The vest I wear is an ICON Mil-Spec vest (with reflective H-D patches added), which is nice if you have to show an ID and or have toll money handy. The ID holder is held on with velcro, so it's easily removable if it isn't needed. I sowed heavy duty velcro on the back of a "Sportster" patch to stick to the ID holder when the ID isn't needed.

In my wallet in a pocket of which ever jacket I'm wearing - zipped shut.

I keep em in my wallet since it goes w/ me everywhere.

Miffed at first, always had a storage place on all of my Jap bikes. Don't even think about that now, as I carry my registration and proof of insurance, wrapped up in plastic wrap, in my wallet.

I keep mine in a billet mini stash tube affixed to the backside of my chrome license plate backplate. Got it from JP Cycles.
