i was curious on how to find out the right lenght for tubes when you stretch and rake your frame. how do you determine how much over your tubes have to be?

paughco has a frame im interested in. it says 40 degree rake and 2.25 stretch. how would i know what length tubes i need. someone told me that setup sounds like 8 over tubes. beats me though

Everett, I'm looking for my Custom Chopper Cook Book. It has the formula on how to set up a front end.

Maybe somebody else on the site has one also.....Anyone out there?

Everett, go to the Thread 'Handling On A Raked Bike' and then see post#24 by BIG DADDY CHOP. He lists a couple web sites that give a lot of info you need.

Everett, I don't get out to the bars at night anymore.....GETTING OLD...But your welcome to stop over at my garage on a Saturday or Sunday if I'm going to be out there or maybe we can meet on the road somewhere.

I might get the bike out for a little while tomorrow in between painting...I'm painting some rooms here at the house this weekend. I'll probably head out around noon for an hour or two. Provided they don't dump anymore salt on the road tonight!
