I guess I should know this, but alas I don't... Are the front turn signals required by law?

:) Actually I was thinking of doing something like the LED strips that wrap around the fork legs. Or rapidly blink either eye wearing fluorescent contacts.... It doesn't mention what actually qualifies as a turn signal, does it? :D

Per 24951 of the CVC turn signals are required on all motorcycles registered on or before 01/01/73. But I have talked to a few CHP and they say it's one of those violations that will use if you give them a reason like running your mouth. It's like anything else but usually not bothered with as alot of older bikes are not running them. I don't have any turn signals on my bike as it didn't come with them. The wiring is in there but that is why I have a left and right wing.
