I am just wondering if anyone makes a case boring tool for a XL case, I would like to buy one. I know Jims makes one for the other evo cases. I wonder if this one could be modded to work?

Nobody makes one and it would not be able to be modded for XL cases as the transmission area would be in the way.

We do our XL case boring in our CNC machine. It requires very accurate measurements and proper fixturing or else you could have a very expensive decoration.

We charge $275 for case boring.

About $30-40 for shipping if the cases are empty. More if it has the crank or trans still in it.

hmmm, not bad...I was thinking it would be more than that...I'll stick that into my mental notes for my pie-in-the-sky 88" upgrade! :)

A Fadal 4020 with all the bells & whistles & 4th axis rotary. New cost over $100K. Does a nice job though!

So far here localy the few (3)bike places I checked can't do it, your price is ok but my problem is I am in Calgary, AB, CND and in the end I will have 3 xl cases to do so I thought if I am going to spend (approx) $1000, I might as well look into having my own tool. I could check with the local auto speed shops to do it but seeing the Jims tool makes me wonder about making a XL version. Thanks for the replys guys.
