This winter my Sportster 1200 has undergone some major cosmetic changes.
This is how it looked when I got it

The tank was way too small for our way of driving, touring, and also the gas stations are far between here. I needed a new tank

and a new colour. It changes in the light. Kind of pinkish in lamplight and kind of blue in daylight. Not intended, but nice.

The left hole for gas was welded shut, nice job, took hours in the workshop
And, yes I got the 3D logos from the dealer, not an easy task.

The big gap in front of the tank was also welded and fitted into new shape. Hours in the workshop, me cooking all sorts of favourite dinners...

New clutch, I am now rid of the terrible clincks and cloncks, just a small thonk when the gear slips into place

The bigger tank looks good and is far more practical. The paint looks fantatstic.

Yes, my hubyi is a cutie and his big twin project will be next winters project too! Now I am hoping for some nice weather so I can put some mileage on my sporty!

Nice lookin bike. You'll get some miles outta that tank. Pics are great. BT should come out nice. Can't wait to see the finished project.
