I have my bike completly dissassembled and ready for new 1200 parts. I took my brand new 1200 jugs and standard buell thunderstorm pistons to a local drag shop before putting them together. They checked them for clearence and found that the cylinder needed to be honed a little bit, so Im waiting on that. Also I was reading the instructions that came with the S.E. Ign. Module W/6800 rev limit and found this.-> It said to remove the timing plug and rotate the rear wheel in 5th gear till the marks are centered(TDC). Then with the ignition on rotate the ign module till the little red led lights up on the ign. module. I never heard of setting the timing this way, anyone else?

sounds pretty close to how my HQ ignition instructions read, but I'd have to double check to be sure.
