Hmmmm, I'll edit this post after I find out this afternoon. I'm heading off for the track in a little over an hour. In fact, I'll probably put up a scan of my slips! :D

Update:

Well, darn it! I wasn't able to break into the 12s tonight. My best 1/4-mile ET was 13.033 @ 100.85 MPH, and fastest trap speed was 102.11 MPH (on an ET of 13.061). I got to race heads-up with a couple other Sporties, too! Well, it's a quarter of 1am, and earlier I put in 11 runs down the track in 86*F weather. I'm beat!

So, believe it or not, I didn't get a single really good start. I want to blame it on my forks, as I went into an uncontrolled lift on a couple of occasions. As soon as I strap it down, I'll be in the 12s, no problem. However, I didn't have a single 60' time under two seconds. :(

Since this thread is about 1/8th mile times, here are my best from the day: 8.269 @ 84.62 MPH and 8.348 @ 85.54 MPH.

Setup:

Model: 2006 XL1200C
Exhaust: SuperTrapp 2-1 SuperMegs (ceramic coated)
Airbox: Forcewinder XR2
Carburetor: Mikuni HSR42
Ignition: Daytona Twin-Tec TC88A

I think someone has a typo there...

I 2nd top qualified at an off street meating with a 7.57 ....

The track had been stuffed by putting emulsion down on it because it was too gravelly to start with...

The race bikes couldn't get traction and I'd stopped in on my way back from a rally.... so I had a HELL of a hangover....

But I'd drag raced on dirt before so no traction wasn't a problem for me and I ran quicker than any of the race bikes.... and I reminded them of that when I picked up the winners cash :D:D

Sorry I just woke up. Please excuse the other me. He lives in a different world. Looking at that time it answers some questions for me. Now I know why the tank is always empty, there`s numbers written in chalk on the tank, The tires are worn and the chrome is melted! Geezz I can`t leave the other me alone for a minute. All`s I can say is my sporty is black so you know it`s fast!!

I ran a 7.55 @92mph with a stock bore 1200, S&S heads and HeadQuarters cams. Consistently ran 7.70's @ 90+mph.

06 1200R, S/E stage 1, and 34 tooth engine sprocket. my best 1/8th was 8.26 @ 83.96mph. I know I can do better, I just need to keep the front down. I didnt heat the tires at all, and the stock tire just hooked right up. My buddy that runs at the same track thinks I can be in the high 7's.
