It's almost spring and time to give some serious thought to our riding safety. This is the time for all the newer riders (and older as well) to sign up for the MSF course in your area. It's the single best investment you'll ever make in your riding career.

Good Idea! I think I will sign up for my local MSF advanced riders course. It'll help knock off some of that winter rust!

BTW, military, free! Just thought I'd throw that in there!

I too will echo the great number of things you can (re)learn by going to an MSF course...it can be costly in some areas...$300 in my area a bit more at a school down in MA that my wife attended, but who really cares about a few hundred dollars if it saves your life (which it just might do)...some places it is only $75 though so look around...you can also get a discount on your insurance...AND if you're a member of HOG then you can get a $50 gift certificate...
There is no reason not to keep those riding skills tack sharp in my opinion!

I'll jump in to bump this back to the top. For those in Illinois (of course this includes BadassbikerBilly!), the MSF course is subsidized by the state through money from MC registrations. Just pay $20 to register and take the course at one of several sites around the state. If you're really friggin cheap, you can even get a refund of the registration fee at the end of the course or you can donate it to support future courses.
