I just finished striping my fenders and tank on my 02 sporty. I am looking for a good brand of black metal flake.Opinions? Appreciate any and all info I can get. BTW I was just going to fix an oil leak, and replace factory gaskets with metal ones. When I came to. my ride was in pieces. Is this normal?

It depends on how much experience painting you have and your equipment and how big a flake you are talking about. Metalflake comes in many sizes and some require special guns to spray because of the partical size. Most paints you just add the amount of flake you want in but some sizes require a gun that mixes the paint as it is sprayed.

I plan on getting a pro to shoot the paint. I know my limits (sometimes)

Very normal... I started out replacing my hand grips... Three months later and an empty bank account later it doesn't look like the same bike...

HOK Mini Flake is very easy to spray and has a lot of sparkle to it. I'll recommend it to any skill of painter. The large Metal flake is a different story. Anyway, about black Metal Flake.... Never seen it myself... but never looked for it either.
