I just read a few of the Dear HD letters on here, geezz am I the only happy one?

Dear HD

I would like to thank you for continuing to make a great product, this is my 2nd HD product, the 1st being a buell xb9. I am overall very pleased with my 08 nightster, a few gripes though.... I CANT stop spending money on all your cool do dads you sell at the dealer so please hide these so they cant be found while im there, haha thats half the reason I go to the dealer just to check out the cool stuff. In all seriousness though aside from the 1st service problems I had with the jerky service writer at my dealer, I am very happy with the bike and already have 2500 miles on it and havent had it a month yet. One thing I would like to say is that aside from the nightster you guys arent marketing to the younger crowd. I think your taking the right steps to drawing in young people like myself (23yrs) but it would be nice to have a few other young guy/gal geared bikes, cuz HARLEYS arent just for the OLD GUYS on the GEEZER GLIDES (hope i didnt offend anyone):smoke So I figured I would add a positive Dear HD letter after all the negative ones keep doin what your doin... oh and make me a Willie G skull brake pedal :D

Nice. I agree totally with what you stated. Nice to see someone in their early 20's enjoying a Sportster. I loved the snot out of mine when I first started riding.
I am guilty of falling into the "gripe" category from time to time, and the internet does expose a forum for this to happen A LOT more often, but constructive criticism can be beneficial sometimes as long as it doesn't get out of hand.
I too really like the 1200N and liken it to the XLX that so attracted me back in the '80's. Pure, simple, Sportster. But,(here comes the gripe!), STOP Lowering everything!! That being said, keep it simple, give us a platform to easily modify if we choose, and keep it looking like a Sportster.
