Does anyone know with a "3" degree tree rake, how many inch over the forks would be on a sporty 03 883?

I have a buddy that has a 5 degree tripple tree rake
and he still used the stock tubes, but his bike is lowered also.
3 degree is hardly noticable just a slight kick out over stock. :yikes

What about the SEEGER CHOPPER KIT everything you
need just bolt it on directly. Raked trees are about half or
quarter of the price.
I believe the SEEGER KIT is about $1650 :yikes

I do like the seegers, I didn't have that much cash right now. i found a set of triple tree's with 3 degree rake. For $379.00 through steel thunder. I thought that was a great price, and a cheap way for me.....

If their any good from there!!

Looking at the link and it looks like the trees need to use
a different leg. Looks like they might screw in on top and
get capped off on the top. All but the top two. May have
to call them and ask. I could be wrong :yikes

I just want to keep you on the right path before you get too far here. Raked trees or raked neck cups are not intended to be a easy option to rake your bike out and put on over sized forks. The use of raked trees it to keep the geometry correct when using a raked frame and a longer than stock front end. A proper combination of a raked neck, raked trees and longer tubes are used together to change the geometry of a motorcycle and still keep the trail of your front end correct. There are of course different ways other than the way I listed to keep all the geometry correct.

Agree with Big Daddy Chop! Hell, raking the neck would be way cheaper.

Wow Thanks!!...I wasn't aware of that. i just need my front end out a bit..To be really honest with you, I was hoping to make the bike look a bit bigger...Reason is, I am 6ft4, and tend to look a bit big on it..Although I am skinny, so not too bad...But I don't want a big twin, I luv my sporty!

I forgot to mention that my buddys sporty was chopped
and raked byhttp://www.redneckengineering.com
They cut the downtubes under the tank and foot controls
and added four inches to stretch the frame foward.

Check out this months AMI, REDNECK ENGINEERING has a bad
ass sporty chopper in the HOTXL section :yikes
The chopper only cost $10.000-$12.000 to build including the donor
bike.Nothing better than a REDNECK CHOPPER or PRO STREET ROCKET

I don't know what your budget is now or in the future. Nor do I know what the look is your trying to achieve. But you may want to check out our sportster frames. I am about your same size. They are raked out and comfortable even for guys our size. I would give you a link but it was requested that I do not solicit here by posting links. I know another forum member has posted the link in another thread if you look around.
Or email me if you want info off the forum.

I appologize if this is beyond my posting limits.

I have read that it is standard to add one inch for every 2 degrees of rake. :shhhh
