The SE 32979-98A (2002 883) module DEFINITELY has one:

SE module

I had a hard time finding a stock module picture, but this is from the Daytona Twin-Tec instructions for 1998-2002 XL (http://www.daytona-twintec.com/download/Model_1005S_Instructions.pdf), page 2:

Looks to me like the module part number is 32465-98 (it's MUCH easier to read in the instruction PDF), which has been updated with an A now, but it's a stock module part number (883 or 1200, I don't know.)

But, to me, it looks like that stock OE module has the light on it.

I don't have a manual here to check, but you said it wasn't in there anyway. So, I'm not sure if this helps or not. :) Sorry for the confusion. Are there any numbers or stickers on the module installed on your bike?

there are stickers all over it. nothin says screemin eagle. ill check the part number on it when i get done work today and compare. the rivets look totally original so im leaning towards it being stock. bought bike used. revs to 6k and limiter kicks in. thanks chris......jim

I have the SE for a 2003 1200 and it has an orange sticker on the front that says screaming eagle motorcyle ignition module. it also has the curve letter and the rpm range. 6800rpm. definately has the light. I'll look at the stock 883 module when i get home. I can't remember if it had the light on it or not. For some reason I'm thinking that it didn't, but I'm not sure.
