I'm about done puttin' her back together for the last time - FINGERS CROSSED, KNOCK ON WOOD!

I'm taking my time and making sure everything's perfect, how long does it take for the pushrods to spin by hand? I've got both rockerboxes completely bolted down and can't move them at all by hand.

What gives???

You might be able to spin them by hand if your using the stock non adjustable pushrods, but only at top dead center. lift up the rear tire and put it in 5th gear. Rotate the tire real slowly with the sparkplugs out and feal for any hang ups or any indication that somethings wrong. You can put a straw in the whole so you know when it's at top dead center. Thats when your pushrods will be at there lowest point.

Thats top dead center on the compression stroke. Assuming your covers are still off, you can watch the rockers and springs to see that both valves are closed. It sometimes takes considerable time for the lifters to bleed down.
