Thanks fafcpa 4th June 2006, 22:59 Take a look at the thread for ordering one in this topic. There were come comments from people who bought them. daesdaemar 4th June 2006, 23:24 I bought a Superbrace during the group buy a few months ago. I think it improved the ride over bumps and at high speeds... my 2 cents... rider1951 5th June 2006, 00:02 I also got in on the group buy. I feel it helped out some on the Custom. Gary7 5th April 2007, 16:12 I installed my SuperBrace yesterday and went for a long ride. I don't know what I was expecting, but this thing has completely transformed my bike. I didn't realize just how slow the steering was before, but now she drops into a curve like a sportbike. I went into a particularly nasty double S curve on one of my favorite stretches of road and was into instant oversteer. I had to back way off on the amount of countersteering I would normally use to negotiate these curves. Slow speed (parking lot) maneuvering is night/day different as well. When it comes to handling, it's like riding a different bike. On the Interstate she tracks much more straight now. Much less prone to wander due to crosswinds or buffeting from passing trucks. I couldn't be more pleased, to say the least. Bravo SuperBrace! Paulie420 5th April 2007, 20:50 I own a Superbrace and feel the improvement is STRICTLY cosmetic. I almost get flabbergasted at some of the ra ra's for these things... Its a $150 peice of chrome for your bike. I would suggest it, but only because it looks good. kdarejr 5th April 2007, 21:06 I own a Superbrace and feel the improvement is STRICTLY cosmetic. I'm wondering the same thing!! I know some of the "chopper" guys with the 4-6" extensions swear by them. This may be the difference IMHO...:geek:geek:geek smackie 6th April 2007, 03:16 shorter suspension = less to flex and twist lower suspension = less strain on suspension thats is how i see it from uneducated point of view with no real experinace to back it....but if it does work on the R's i am picking one up first oppurtunity. :) Gary7 6th April 2007, 03:43 I own a Superbrace and feel the improvement is STRICTLY cosmetic. Believe me, I know where you're coming from. When I bolted that thing on I fully expected to go for a ride and come back feeling like I'd just wasted 150 bucks. But the difference it made on my bike was unbelievable. I'm not into bright and shiny do-dads, so if I had not seen any difference, I would have taken it off and sent it back. |
