I want to paint the belt gaurds and oil / battery covers to match the rest of my bike, so does anybody know the paint code number for lava red sunglow. I would like the after market number not the HD number so I can have a pint mixed for me.

I mainly deal in custom paint and never had a need to match HD paint myself. I just have the people that want their bikes painted bring me the paint and the beer and I spray. But if I’m not mistaken, there are no MoCo paint codes, just name only. Your paint rep might be able to figure it out by using name/books… or at least have the color analyzer thingies that will scan your paint and come up with a mix. Even if the match isn’t 100% perfect, it’s very hard to tell cause the parts are normally separated. I’m not sure if the analyzer thingies will pick this up or not, but, from what I’ve seen is HD paints the parts black before painting the top color. This can have a big effect on color matching.
