This has got to be one of the nicest cafe/drag bikes I have seen. Check this out. I expect a lot of ohhs and ahhs out of this one. http://www.clubchopper.com/photopost/data/3019/212DCP_1656-med.JPG

I thought todays topics are alittle bland so this might spice it up.

Except for the fat and ugly rear tire, I think it's awesome. Not a fat tire fan, not one bit.

I love that bike! I saw it featured in American Iron Magazine about a year ago, and then I ended up at the guys booth in Sturgis and got to see it in person. You can read about it and see other pictures here http://www.choppersforever.com/ . They have quite a few similar bikes there, too.

I don't think I ever noticed any chopped cam covers before Mark_Bench showed his here a week or so ago. Now I'm seeing them all over the place. I like them a bunch.

Get rid of the excessively "fat" rear tire, and update the bike with rear suspension to bring it into today's technology. Hardtails look ok, but they arent practical at all.

ya do that and ya back to a stock sporty.... :(

and since when is bike meant to be practical ??????????????

They look excellant and would be awesome down the strip...........

Rigids used to be everywhere and the roads were a lot worse than they are now....

Granted it takes a bit more engineering to design and make a working rear suspension...

But no matter how you do it it WILL add weight.....and you gain nothing for the strip..

I don't see any of those bikes as being touring bikes tho......

they're just bar hoppers, second bikes, or street/strip bikes....

Ya wouldn't wanna travel too far in an Indy car either.........and it's got suspension

Is it okay if I don't like fat rear tires? Just checking.

No drama if ya don't like it... it's your choice..

The rear tire is part of that style of bike.....if we get into the that's no good or this is no good scenario then where does it stop...??????

That style of bike is what it is.....

Many crotch rocket riders will look at your sporty and say what a skinny rear tire....

There are almost as many different bikes as there is riders......

We are all different and we have different tastes....if we appreciate another bike because that's what that owner wanted...then we can hope they will treat us with the same respect....

I just get pissed off when people diss something for a reason that was outside the bikes design criteria and then whinge when someone looks down at them.
(nothing personal here Alleydude you just happened to have the last post :shhhh when I replied, sorry....)

A Pro-Street bike was never intended to be toured...and as such doesn't look like a tourer..... I happen to think a wide rear tire is a waste on a stockish bike....and often hang shit on guys that go for wide tire by saying "are ya trying to take the focus off ya butt??? :laugh "
But in the Pro-Street style it is part of that style......I'td be about my 3rd bike in the garage tho as it's practicailty is limited..

I am almost sorry I started this. Some will like it, some will hate it, some will analyze the heck out of it and some will just appreciate it for what it is. I would take it like it is and ride it like I owned it. Down the strip, up the street and on an adventure if need be. My buddy rode his slammed fatboy 3500 miles with me in 5 days through Norway, Denmark, Germany and Holland. He had virtually no suspension travel and survived. I suppose a hardtail would ride the same. I would love that bike and enjoy looking at the fat tire. It is nice and that is it. Only my opinion counts so thats that. You all must like it. Yah right. Atleast it is getting interesting in here again. P.S. I am surprised that nobody dissed the forward controls yet. They suck and I hate em. LOL

Yeah I've got a mate here that's got a shovel hard tail and he does the runs with us, no probs.

He's got an evo for the really long ones tho.

All you were doing was showing us what in your opinion (and mine too, might I add) was a very sweet bike, and it isn't your fault that some people can't respect other peoples opinions or appreciate something for what it is. If you find more bikes you like, don't hesitate to post them.

This whole thread got kind of funny. I had a friend with a pan chopper with jockey shift and hardtail, egli suzuki, and a 650? ktm. He rode them all the same. Like a stinking maniac and had fun on all of them. He rode dif. bikes with dif. people but the bottom line is he took whichever bike he felt on the long trips. It all depended on which group he was riding with. Ever see a guy drive a stroked pan chopper like its a flat tracker. That is something else.

By the way. I don't care if anyone likes this bike or any other one. I like most special bikes because of the uniqueness. Eyeryone has an opinion and some of them stink. I am actually glad I started this thread because since the dissapearance of the flame room we talk like a bunch of preppy wusses in here. Rarely any controversy and far to little fun. It is hi time some good discussion occurs. yahoo, we are alive.

Great song. Where will the good looking ones like myself sit. Aside- I saw a pic today of a guy doing a stoppy with a topless lady laying over the tank. I wanted to email it to you for your wonderful bike pic collection but I did not have it. I will save it the next time it pops up.
