Nice Bike!!
Did you remove the side reflectors, or do the Aussies Bikes not come with them??
stevo 23rd November 2004, 00:50 G'day Crackers
just check with ya local Dpt Transport as side mount number plates and tail are illegal up here and imagine yours laws are similar to ours as they refer back to ADR's
Number plate must be visible at a 45 degree angle from BOTH sides and above and it must be less than 45 degrees from vertical.....and yes I know some guys that have been done for it up here.
Go SS on ya spokes.....the chrome peels off eventually.....stainless doesn't
crackers 23rd November 2004, 00:52 ahh... they do come with them, legally required for registration.
mine must have fallen off somewhere:rolleyes:

local HD dealer said no problem with insurace or transport if i go to a side mount.
a lot of custom bikes here have a side mount.
but like you the law states the plate must be seen at 45 degree angle from both side to a distance of 20m i think.
goes to show what the boy in blue are taught down here.
'hide behind tree, aim radar gun at vehicle, and book it anyway'
ss is an excellent idea, going to have it done when ithe front tyre needs replacing.
hopefull not for a little while yet
cheers

Dogmann 17th January 2005, 23:17 STEVEO- I like your Avator! where did you find it?
flathead45 17th January 2005, 23:35 stevo, is that "visable" or "readable" , cause if ya got spokes or cast mags I'm sure ya can "see" the light and plate but I know ya can't "read" the plate
just a thought
stevo 17th January 2005, 23:52 readable with speed camera
I got the avatar of another site
Xhoodlum 18th January 2005, 00:43 How do you like the seat? I'am thinking of getting the same one...
