I was hoping someone would have the specs and numbers on the stock cams for 04 anId up sporty's. And is there any difference between the 883 and the 1200s? I am thinking of putting in andrews N5 cams, I think they are the same as the SE cams. someone told me that andrews makes the SE cams.

There is a difference between the "D" cams used in the 04-06 883 and the "W" cams used in the 04-06 1200.

BTW, the "W" cams were also used on the 03 and earlier 1200-S "Sportster Sport"

Duration: 223 / 240

Lift: .476" / .476"

Cam Timing:
INT. opens/closes: 05 / 38
EXT. opens/closes: 46 / 14

the W cams started out on the '98 S models... i think the D cams r a single duration 223/223-.458/.458... i also noticed that the W cams r now listed as 224/230, the 3 and 4 being reversed... also, whats an N5 cam, don't see that listed...

ok thanks guys, I thought in the drag catalog it said n5 but maybe it was n3 would the w cams make a difference in an 883 1200 cnversion? I want to get new cams, but I dont want to do it until I can afford to get a little head work done.
