Got 1st place trophy in the street ET motorcycle class last night.
Runs were--12.005@111.91
11.901@112.58
11.891@113.05 (on an 11.88 dial)
1st time out since the engine rebuild. Still doesn't feel like it's running like it should, but what the hell, I got a trophy:smoke
And more importantly, had a blast!!!

Congrats Dana, are you going to race there very often ?? Might be a nice cruise to come see you race. MrJimi and Arjay are in J-town too, perhaps we could come and cheer you on or help out.

This is my 61,000 mile, 2001 Sporty that I just put an NRHS 88" kit in
Last year at Jax running only the 1/8 I usually ran around 7.70@90-92mph with my best being 7.55@ 92mph.
I'm having to learn how to launch again, not racing since last Oct. and with different torque with the new motor.
1/8 times for last night were: 7.70@93.53---7.632@94.40----7.629@94.45mph.
My 60' times were slow cause I haven't got the start down good yet. Last year I was hitting 1.8--60' times. My best last night was 1.931, so there's room there to improve.

My avitar has a pic of my Sporty in 2004 with the wheelie bar. The bike on the right. If you go to gainesvilleraceway.com, click on 'results' at the top, then 'winner circle' in the left column, you'll see me and "MARINE1"

I think I'm already a card carrying member:laugh This is my third year drag racing and it definetly gets in your blood.
We're running a sportsman tree
I haven't raced since Oct on the Sporty and my reaction times are all over the place. I'll get back in the groove;)
