I'll have to get a pic posted, but I have the dyno runs from the bike after the Supertrapp 2:1 install. Max TQ is 78 lbs/ft @ 3650rpm and 76 HP @ 6000rpm. On a side note, I'm making over 75 lbs/ft of TQ at only 3000rpm, so the curve is pretty broad. In comparison, the Thunderheader was only making 68 lbs/ft at 3000rpm, and peaked at 76 at 4200rpm. You have to see the graph, so I'll try to get it scanned and posted. (these numbers are with the A/C installed).

UPDATE!!! - The Dyno is posted below. Supertrapp is in Blue, Thunderheader is in Red.

Did you start the dyno run at 2000 or 2500? If you start them at 2000, you can see the dreaded 2-1 dip around 2700.

What combo do you have? Obviously a supertrapp. What else?

The run was started at about 2,300rpm, and the curve outpaced the SEII's that were on before (the supertrapp, not the Thunderheader). The complete setup is a 2004 XL1200R with a Yost kit, 46 slow, 175 main, SE A/C, and the Supertrapp 2:1 with 20 discs. Without the AC the numbers peaked at 78HP and 78TQ.

Mine were similar base line. 74HP and 77ft lbs. 48 slow 180 main no yost
D&D slip-ons and SE AC. HP jumped to 78.8 w/o the ac.

Just think, it only goes up from here. HP and $$$$

I hear ya. I think I was around 79 HP without the AC as well. It's tough with some of these dyno graphs though, the way the curves tend to jump up or down really quick...sort of inflated the numbers I think. That's why I pay more attention to the curves. I was suprised about the Supertrapp. When the Theader was compared to the SEII's, there was a clear dip in HP and torque below about 4000 rpm, but the supertrapp performed much better in the lower rev range. You'll have to see the graph...I goin as fast as I can.

This is the most important thing I'm searching for.
Good overall perfomance, not extreme hp only at useless revs.

Proivded in the Yost jet kit is there a particular emulsion tube?

Not sure what came in the Yost kit...my dealer installed it. I believe there was some sort of tube in there, as well as a new needle and slide spring.

Like I said before, the Supertrapp gave the smoothest lines power, elspecially tourque, and that was a bigger seller to me.

The performance looks good, but what about ground clearence. Same, less, more then stock?

SuperTrapps are very good for ground clearance. More than stock for sure.

Looking at the pipe I really don't think the ground clearence changed any. When you look at the stock exhaust, the front muffler is the problem because it sits lower than the rear. You can't do much about this because it passes under the footpeg. On the Supertrapp, the headpipes pass under the same footpeg. The muffler itself hangs a little lower than the rear muffler on the stock exhaust, but again it's the headpipes under the footpeg that are the lowpoint. I would have to say that there isn't any difference. In any case, I have only touched the exhaust to the ground once, and that was with a passanger. Any other time the footpegs hit before the exhaust does.

My if that isn't interesting. Did you change the amount of disks at all?

Dogmann,
Check the first page. I edited my original pst.

crim,

He said he started with 16 discs and went from there. I told him where I wanted the power, so that's where he put it. BTW - how do you mean "Interesting"?
