Man what week!!
As you all probably know by now, Harley-Davidson released all of the new 2007 Sportsters to include a limited edition 50th Aniversary model, of which only 2000 will be made. I am thinking aobut getting one but really love the Fire Red and Black 1200 Custom. It is gonna be a very hard decision.
But the BIGGEST news from The MoCo is that all Sportys now come with Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI)! That is right, no more enricher knob! There is a lot of debate going on in The XL Forum about the new models right now. You can check out the main thread on this HERE
In Buell news all 2007 Buells are coming with Pirelli tires and Cherry Bomb Translucid Red, will be offered for the Lightning XB12S and Lightning XB12Scg models. The Blast is the only bike remaing to have a carburator.
Also , on Saturday, I finished my NRHS 1250 conversion on Dirty Debbie and she has been renamed Nasty Nancy! The Frapper helped me out tremendously. The only problem is that sometime during the conversion my ignition switch went bad so I have not been able to start her up! The Frapper is graciouly going to loan me the one he got for his '69 project until my new switch arrives. Hopefully tonight will COME ALIVE!
I sure hope that everyone is having great weather like we are having here in Germany! Now GET OUT AND RIDE!

BIKER SAFETY TIP OF THE WEEK
Here are some get tips on how to prevent from getting injured while riding a motorcyle. These are from Cenarta.com and more info can be found HERE
Get professionally trained in motorcycle riding. Research shows that more than 90 percent of all riders that were involved in crashes are just self-taught or taught by friends.
Secure your license to drive. Nearly 27 percent or one out of four motorcyclists involved in fatal crashes in 2001 was not properly licensed.
Do not drink and ride. Those most at risk in getting into accidents are inebriated motorcyclists.
Use helmets that meet the DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
Wear protective clothing this includes goggles or sun shades for eye protection, jacket, full- fingered gloves, long pants and over-the-ankle boots.
Make sure that your motorcycle clothing and gears are made of abrasion-resistant material, such as leather. Avoid loose, flailing clothing that could impair your vision.
Wearing brightly colored garments may help other vehicles see/notice you.
Proper maintenance and monitoring of your bike is of high importance. Observe proper lane positioning of your bike to further increase your visibility to drivers. Keeping a "space cushion" between your bike and other traffic should also be kept in mind.
Avoid sharing a lane with a car since its driver may not expect you to be there or may not become aware of your presence. Most drivers look out for other bigger vehicles that they may fail to notice you instantly unless something has happened already.
Ride according to your skill level. Never overestimate yourself.

Getting away from their high stress jobs, a biker couple takes a weekend camping trips.
Once they arrive they constantly find that their peace and quiet being disturbed by well meaning, but unwanted, people wanting to look at and talk about their great looking Sportsters so they device a plan to assure themselves some privacy.
