An acclaimed designer and motorbike fanatic have joined forces to create the ultimate purring machine. Designed in the shape of a jaguar car logo with an exclusive 'CAT 1' numberplate, the one-off creation is already turning heads. Acclaimed designer Lee J. Rowland teamed up with motorbike fanatic Barend Hemmes, from Bermondsey, South London, to create the super-sleek, 6ft long bike.

The exclusive design is made from parts of a classic 1,200cc Buell 97 S3 Thunderbolt bought off ebay.

It is more a cruiser than a racer, reaching speeds of 50mph.

Mr Hemmes, 36, said he came up with the idea when doodling in the office.

'I was combining corporate logos with morobikes and I suddenly realised how well the two went together,' he told The Times.

As a form of art, I'd say it's gorgeous, but from a biking perspective, I'd probably barf if I saw someone riding that. It belongs on a wall or ceiling, or on a pedestal of some sort.

No kidding! So when you ride it, I guess it looks like a giant feline springing out from your crotch. And where is the Jag's tail? It must extend up your butt when you sit in the saddle, cause it sure isn't hanging off the back like it's supposed to be. Hope the bike doesn't vibrate much.

LMAO! You're quite right, of course, but it got me thinking...maybe I should build a bike like that using Rolls-Royce's "Spirit of Ecstasy." I wouldn't mind looking like I'm mounting a scantily-clad goddess. It's not like I get to any other time...

It is more a cruiser than a racer, reaching speeds of 50mph. . Wow don't shift gears or anything dramatic. That is hideous! I still remember the bikes that looked like a tiger, or the one that looked like you were doing a dude in the ass riding it.

I have never understood the animosity that motorcyclists have toward the OCC guys. Sure, those things are overpriced, impractical, and sponsored in large part by "The Man", i.e. corporations. But as a fan of both cars and bikes, I never hear car guys badmouthing George Barris for stylistic flights of fancy like the Batmobile, the Munster Koach, or the vast majority of his other creations. Cars guys can appreciate his customizer's art, regardless of how impractical or expensive or outrageous his cars are.

Have you ever heard a single comment from a car guy like, "George Barris is a tool," or "Barris is a no-talent ass clown," or "Barris wouldn't know a custom car if he was run over backwards by a tail-dragging '49 Merc and got impaled on its lakes pipe"? I don't even like some of his designs but I got nothing but respect for the guy's talents.

Since I like bikes across a wide spectrum of design and purpose, I can certainly appreciate the artistic vision that the Teutel's put into their work just for creativity's sake. If I had the means and the talent to do the kind of work they are doing, you're damned right I'd be coming up with some crazy mofo stuff just because I can, not because I should. Example: I'd take a BMW R1200GS Adventure and turn it into a trike with dual snowmobile track units at the rear. The reason? I think it would be cool and I've never seen anyone else do it. That's all. And it might be good for winter riding. Especially if I could rig the tracks with differential braking.

Having said that, I still think the Jaguar-bodied Buell is about the gayest waste of time ever. I'm a fan of both Jaguars and Buells which makes the "Sex Panther" an unholy eyesore!

(Don't ask me about my Jag V-12 XJ-S trike idea. I haven't completely worked out the details, but it would be cooler than Sex Panther for sure. It's not as crazy as it sounds...I have a junk XJ-S waiting to be used for some kind of project or else scrapped.) :laugh

You know, on my first look I couldn't get past the cat, which is god-awful. But I looked again more closely, trying to ignore the feline, and it does have some unusual engineering going on. It's the only bike I've seen where the rearsets are centered on the rear wheel hub. It also appears to be a hardtail, with the struts hidden behind the bodywork. It actually is sort of cool how the rear wheel appears to just float out there behind the bike. The dude who built this might have had a real show-stopper if he had put some zoomy, functional bodywork around it. But as it stands, it's just a traffic stopper. Who's going to take time to look at the engineering when it appears to be a rider humping a cat?

well the jag is nice looking so why not make a corporate bike for show .no different than the occ clown show .wouldnt ride one of theirs either ,but sure are kool to look at .its different ill give it that but definetly not the ugliest or gayest for there is far worse out there.seems funny to me that jaguare didnt scoop it up for the coorporate head office,and get a tax right off
