View Full Version : Foil Beanie Questions: which material? shiny side in or out?
chrishajer 21st July 2006, 15:53 With the recent attempts by Bert and others to assert their control over member's posts, and at least one VERIFIED (http://www.xlforum.net/vbportal/forums/showpost.php?p=436367&postcount=93) instance of this happening, I wanted to ask a few questions, so that I can order the proper material for my beanie.
Since tin foil is no longer available at the grocery store, is it OK to use aluminum foil?
Does anyone have a source for tin foil in the event it IS needed?
When forming the helmet, should the shiny side be on the inside or outside?
Has anyone used Reynolds Wrap Release®? I'm wondering if it's any better with its non-stick properties.
How many layers are needed to defend against mind control rays if I'm in Chicago and Bert is in Germany?
I have already checked the AFDB (http://zapatopi.net/afdb/) site, but I don't know if I trust them. I mean, those people are NUTS.

Sportster Girl 21st July 2006, 15:55 I doesn't matter what you do Chris, if Bert wants in yer head, he'll get there.
BAWHAHAHHA HAAAHAHaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
spatial.hd 21st July 2006, 16:07 I have some experience in this field, had some grants funded, won some awards, etc.
So some quick answers to your questions:
1. Yes
2. Not needed. See #1
3. Shiny side out. It's more reflective of other's mind rays that way. However, flip it over for use on the person (e.g., Bert) sending the mind rays.
4. Current tests are inconclusive.
5. One of the first studies by Hearst et al. (1976) showed that 236 + 659 layers were needed (alpha = 0.05). More recent work has shown that only half that many layers are needed in most cases. The confidence intervals have also been tighted with state-of-the-art techniques. It's not an exact science yet but great strides are being made in the field.

chrishajer 21st July 2006, 16:19 I think I am going to try the Reynolds Wrap Release® (non-stick side out) and see how it works. Let's see Bert try and get me NOW. I just found a post from Bert that actually revealed his formula (http://www.xlforum.net/vbportal/forums/showpost.php?p=394464&postcount=3), so I just need to fight back against it now...

Casper 21st July 2006, 16:28 There's one problem, Chris. You've already got two wrenches under your name. You may as well change your name to Toby right now, because Bert owns you! Spatial's only got a few posts (comparatively), so there's still hope for him; the rays haven't fully warped him...well, no more than he was already :D. The rest of us here are screwed. Just relax and accept the inevitable!
After a while, the rays actually become enjoyable; it's kinda like a mild acid trip, but without having to go looking for a dealer. They're delivered, right to your brain! Convenient, if you ask me.
raysheen 21st July 2006, 16:31 I prefer some of the pure elements foils...gold isn't as good as you would imagine..but some of the other more rare metals produce very good shielding foils...you can find them online...but they aren't cheap!
raysheen 21st July 2006, 16:39 See here for a good selection of foils...we all like different combos of "sandwitches" for our beanies...it's pretty much a personal thing...they can get quite expensive if you use some of the more exotic metals.

I had a post on here a while back with my favorite beanie recipe
jwbradbury 21st July 2006, 16:39 Because the mind-control rays are so prevalent here on the Left Coast, we're told to use double-layered foil. You take a larger sheet, fold it in half so that the shiny surface is on both sides, then you form your beanie or pyramid hat.
This helps keep evil mind-control thoughts out and helps retain your own "good" thoughts inside your head. I've seen many of these being worn by just about everyone at all types of religious gatherings and at just about every political rally.
They must work well because no one ever agrees on anything and our state is still loony as ever.

JackPine 21st July 2006, 16:40 Just a note. When using a foil beany always coat your hair with Vaseline extra thick. The reason being is that quite often mind capturing rays seep through the foil I don't know why so don't ask. When the rays slip through if the vaseline is thick enough they will heat it up and they will slide off of your head.
It works
TRUST ME!!

This is a great example of a classic foil hat, sort of the retro-Early-Colonies device invented by Benjamin Frankinhopper. One tip, if going with this shape here on the Left Coast, you'll need to form sort of a flap near your forehead to help shield the frontal lobe region.

Carl-04XL 21st July 2006, 17:50 Empirical evidence and some 14 hours of supercomputer time show that Neutronium 1200, N1200, would be the best material to make foil beanies from. Unfortunately, modern manufacturing techniques can't roll N1200 thin enough to make it feasible for the human neck muscles to support the weight. N1200 is only available from meteorites from the heart of super-novas (not the car, silly) and all known pieces have been acquired through 17 levels of shell companies and double-blind drop-outs tracable (through great expense and three lost 'researchers') to the company Schnuckie, Inc., which is in partnership with B&S, Gmbh., an international supplier to the freelance espionage community.
Barring that, the next best available material is Uranium 883, an artificial isotope made from U238 and Plaladium. The construction specifics require many esoteric materials and practices, some of which are only legal in Jamaica and Lithuania.
All other materials only have an efficiency of from 0% (plain motorcycle helmets) to about 38.479% for the old fashioned 'tin foil' material. The efficiency of N1200 has been estimated to be 99.99999999999999999999999% + while U883 only gets as high as 74.0582% for extremely pure base materials.

chrishajer 21st July 2006, 20:41 N1200, would be the best material to make foil beanies from.
Maybe NRHS can make it into N1250r? Would that be even better?

DC in PHX 22nd July 2006, 03:11 I find that either shiny or dull side out is effective. The real trick is to get a piece of wire about 6 feet long, solder an aligator clip to each end, place one clip on your foil hat, and clip the other end to cold water pipes in order to ground the system, you don't want those mind control rays "sticking" to the foil with no place to go. I would definately use the foil hat when rading this forum, especially since there is a thread about F&AM's, we all know how they are about mind control. If a plot is not a Communist plot, you can bet the Freemasons are behind it! (they killed Kennedy and are behind the phony trip to the moon)

ctilson 22nd July 2006, 03:35 Although Mom would strongly disagree, shiny sine in or out does not matter.
According to Renyolds:
"Actually, it makes no difference which side of the aluminum foil you use—both sides do the same fine job of cooking, freezing and storing food. The difference in appearance between dull and shiny is due to the foil manufacturing process. In the final rolling step, two layers of foil are passed through the rolling mill at the same time. The side coming in contact with the mill's highly polished steel rollers becomes shiny. The other side, not coming in contact with the heavy rollers, comes out with a dull or matte finish."
Can we really take their word for it, huh? They may call it "Renyolds Wrap," But it is really "Alcoa Wrap!" We're talking BIG ALUMINUM here!
Who is REALLY doing the mind control here? Do your research, who actually owns all the "tin foil beanie" websites? Follow the money.
Jason's Sporty 22nd July 2006, 03:35 Since its aluminum, can one be made from billet or sheet aluminum? have access to both! would go more for the sheet aluminum one!! any Ideas?

Heck, Jason! Enough people are afraid of Bert's mindrays, I heard that Kuryakyn's going to make a billet AFDB next year! If I'm wrong, I'll give everybody $100 each...no...Bert's...mindray...must...resist...
ctilson 22nd July 2006, 11:06 I shouldn't mention this -- I'll have to do a lot more shoulder checks.
Alcoa actually makes a faradically enhanced version of their foil. Rather than shielding a beanie wearer from mind-control waves, it allows Alcoa to enhance a mind's reception of their waves.
This is why Alcoa invented the internet. (You thought Algore did that? do us a favor!)
They were spending millions each year during the '70 on beanie intelligence. They had agents all around the world helping to determine where to place the high-capacitance foil. It shouldn't have been a problem, but this special foil was much more expensive to produce.
When the personal computer came out in the '80s, they saw it as a way to salvage their beanie research budget. Rather than spending billions on an agent network, they developed a computer network. With the foil beanie web sites, they were able to idenify which markets they should focus their enhanced foil upon.
I needn't remind you -- you didn't hear this from me!
