Between Rolling Thunder and the PGR, I seem to be doing a lot of riding at night or early morning. I recently bought the H-D High Output Headlamp Bulb (Xenon), and found that on low-beam it has a better dispersal pattern than the stock bulb, as well as being brighter. The Hi-beam is better as well. I live out in "Deer-Central" so more light is a good thing. Part No.- 67074-02; $19.95 (US) :banana It is listed as a direct replacement for the stocker..

I have the same bulb...I think you can use all the light you can get when you're on two wheels...I didn't notice a HUGE change, but I think it was worth installing for sure...and I did get it for christmas so I didn't even have to pay for it! :D

With that bulb the measured light output is about 15% greater than stock. Measured with an incident light meter at 20 feet on the peak output point. However, the pattern is a little different and there is no easy way to determine if it is brighter or just more concentrated - or both. Subjectively, it appears brighter when riding.

According to the package- " fits all models (except '02 later VRSCA and '04 VRSCB with replaceable headlamp bulb. Does not fit dual bulb halogen headlamp kit- P/N 67864-04, or 67863-04)" You should be good to go, if your bulb is the same 3-prong type.
