Got the bottom end out and sent to me today. The new cases have arrived and we decidied to put in matching s&s rods and wheels. This set of wheels and aluminum prostock rods were built by Bill at edge cylinderhead. They came in the bike when I bought it...jsu wanted to post a pic cause they looked impressive. It was educational too, to see how these look and work. Bills work seems very wild and he even does some work in titanium!!!!!

Are those stock stroke wheels?
What stroke are the new S&S wheels?
What are you doing with the old parts?

These titanium rods were made by a friend of mine. They are for a 1200 XL, and are one inch longer than stock. The motor they are in now makes 117 RWHP. My friend made them on a manual Bridgeport milling machine and estimates that he has about 80 hours into them.

I saw the Edge cylinder heads on Ebay. $1600 beans is a bunch. Are they that good????? The rods are pretty but what does it get you. Would it not be more beneficial to drill the hell out of the flywheels till they weigh nothing. .

he has heads up to $3500.....i hear he is that good, but each company has a target market. I can give more detail in a pm.
The extra parts are a tossup as they can be fitted to my new cases . They are stock stroke as are the new s&s rods. Chris.....I have seen those rods before.....when I close my eyes and concentrate real hard........Ha....very wild.

You dream in titanium too? I dream in that and sometimes unobtanium. If you appreciate the rods, you'd really appreciate his bike.

Are the welds I see what they are talking about when people say a pressed together crank should be welded if you are going to put some serious power to it, i.e., nitrous , blower or turbo ??

Indeed I am. An excellent machinist and engine builder. His blue bike is badass.

Yes, keeps the flywheels from shifting under extreme loads. Otherwise, on pressed cranks, it's just the interference fit of the pin in the wheel that keeps them from shifting.

Thanks again Chris, I've been trying to picture in my mind how this was done. Thanks for the pics Narley, they solved one mystery for me anyway.
