Finally got a chance to put these crash bars on and it sure makes for a comfortable ride on the freeway. They were a snap to put on and work great Here's a link to see em:

Looks good! They flow with the lines of the bike really well. I like your paint, also.

That's a sweet touring set-up. I'm not usually a flames guy but you did them well and that silver compliments the bike perfectly.

Those are about the nicest shaped bars I've seen. How tall are you? I ask because it looks like the bars put your feet up pretty high. Could just be me not being used to bars or the angle of the pic. Was just curious is all.

Any tips or tricks with the install?

Awesome job!

5' 11' and yes they are up just a bit, but will be putting on higher bars and that should compensate it. Install was very easy, biggest problem was finding the torq bit for the engine stabalizer bolt. Found that at the auto store. (someone in the forum suggested that)

No its actually called liquid flames and it's a puffy 3d decal that you can clear coat. Cost about $80. Someone refered to them as gummy bear like :laugh

Damn...I like your crash bar better than mine :cry1 . I should have waited and looked around to see what was available. I got the Harley crash bar in a moment of passion the day after the only time I dropped my bike. Serviceable, but I like the angular look of yours. You have a good looking bike!

You have done a great job with your bike. Having an alternate place for your feet make a huge difference on long rides....

Yep, those are a nice alternative. The clear, large, detailed pictures are nice. I like the black/chrome combo. Not far different from mine! You even have the bags I'm planning on!

I just spent 4 hours put a Linbar on my wife's '05 883L, the plate for the engine mount was welded on in just a little off of where it should be, and after hours of drilling and grinding, I finally opened the holes up enough to get it mounted, but now I have to retap one of the threads on the frame as it was at the wrong angle and crossthreaded the bolt before I figured out what the problem is, the bar looks like it is a little more forward on the left side also, personally I think their quality control sucks, glad to hear yours went on better than mine.

For wet/rainy/cold weather, I add "chaps" to mine:
