Just finishing my "bread and butter" conversion....displacement only....no other work...

Question:

Should I wait to start it for the first time until I'm ready to bed the rings that day?

yup, IMHO, idling might have a tendency to glaze the cylinder walls.

read the S&S break in thread I put up....

Then add the 50-70 MPH top gear ring bed-in

Fire it up the forum wants to hear it run ;)
Need to start it and let it run before you take it
out on the road and it locks up on ya. Just to
make sure you have all the bugs ironed out first.

I bet the whole valley in the town of Warsaw will be
grinning from ear to ear. Great countryside just to damn
cold in the winter. :yikes

When the weather breaks.....JUST FOR YOU....I'm gonna record my virgin run out of the drive way....digitally...

I'll make the best damn Sporty recording we've ever heard!!!!

I may even take it with me......could be fun! My Minidisc player will handle the shock.....

Man, I can't WAIT for Spring!!!!

I grew up in Bristol on the other end of 20A, Been living in NC
for over 15 yrs. I was up over Labor Day weekend in Sept
visiting family and friends. Summers are beautiful and winters
well that's something i try not to remember.:yikes
