Posted this in the Sportster section but thought I would try here. Was out riding and was talking to a guy with a Buell Ulysses. I was checking out his bike and noticed that there was a factory install oil cooler on it. It was mounted facing the bike with a scoop on the side to direct air towards it. I like this design so it keeps roud crap from being kicked up and int the fills of the oil cooler. Has anyone ever seen one mounted to a sporster? Might have to go and try to piece on together and mount it. Was wondering for those of you with Buells if it looks possible to mount one on a sporty??

sure you can mount it on a sporty, you can mount any type of oil cooler you want.
You will just have to fabricate some mounting brackets to bolt it to your frame...
You may want to look at a Jagg cooler, it is very similiar, and comes with the brackets to bolt to the sportster frame.
You can mount it sideways, like Buell does on it's XB models, and use the Buell air scoop...
I hope this helps...

buell uses these due to more power, more heat, a thermostat should be used, oil can be too cool as well as too hot
