On a ride to Greune Tx Sun and lost headlight and tail light. Gauge lights work- brake light works with foot petal but not with the front brake lever-checled bulbs front and back. Seem to have power to all breakers, is there a fuse somewhere Im not looking? Have gone over the wiring digram till I'm cross eyed!! I do pretty good with things I can touch but electricty throws me for a loop!!! Just hoping that some one with a better grip on this stuff can tell me where to look. Oh and there is power to the green wire at ign switch when switch is on. Thanks in advance!! T.

On my '02, I blew a fuse and lost the headlights/taillight. My turn signals still worked. You most likely have a fuse panel, check there.

Thanks gusotto I have checked the book and havent found a fuse panel and have taken a lot apart havent found anything but breakers- does not mean they are not there- anyone know if a 93 has fuses on top of breakers or are they one and the same. thanks again T.

You might only have breakers in your 93 Tom, I dunno that far back. I do know there was a time when there were only breakers though.

Blazer, In your 01 they are behind the triangular panel just back of the battery. Just tug on the panel it pops off (no need to remove the screws). Then you'll see a mes of wires and a plastic thingamajob. There's a locking mechanism on the thingamjob, press it and pull and out slide the fuse panel.

Someone posted a pic recently I'll see if I can find it.

YOu should have a fuse panel behind the triangle ignition module cover behind the battery.

Read this thread and the other thread I have linked to in it and it should help you.

As to the original post I don't know if you have fuses. A friend of mine who has a 95 told me that he has resettable breakers on his bike. He said he did replace them once.

Thanks for the reply guys! I've done a little research thru the grapevine around here and I don't have the spade fusesas far as I can tell on the 93. The one response I got here that seemed plausable was that the front brake light switch had grounded (Rear brake light works but no go on front) and this is wired in with the taillight and head light so none of the above function now. I have done a little southren enginering and wired the taillight and headlight direct to ignition switch. no front brake light but rear is working. Am going to test the switch for the front brake as per manual asap. any input would help-does this sound like a possibility

Thanks T.

your brake should be on a seperate circuit from the tailight
blue feeds from the breaker the green wire goes to, feeds the headlight tail
red should be the brake light circuit, sounds like the switch in the grip is broke to me.

I think you are probably correct-I discovered that the brake light failed at the same time the tail and headlight-could have been before and not noticed!! From looking at the wiring diagram it looks like a different wire feeding the brake and tail light-head light Thanks again
