2002 headlight housing cracked

Has anyone had their headlight surround crack?
My headlight started shaking a bit so I thought i'd have look in there a find out what was wrong. The headlight surround/casing was cracked. Almost right around the support bracket.
I had it welded a couple of months ago and now i've noticed the same thing. It's cracked again.

Has anyone else had this problem??

I have an '02 and it's rock solid.

You should check for proper mounting.

Cracking housings isn't a common problem. Something particular with your bike only. I've never had any of my mountings move.

Nothing strange about my bike. It happened to my buddies as well.
Same bikes. 2002 883 custom.

Ok....this apparently is a very common problem as my research is showing. My question is can anyone tell me how to remove the wires from the conector without breaking them...thanks a million!

I have one I will never use if it is the eyebrow type. Where do I send it? I will have to find it also.

I have an 02 1200c and the same thing happened.Went with an aftermarket after having it welded
