Has anyone here used octane boosters in there F.I bikes?, has anyone had any issues/problems using it?

Nope, never needed to.

What's your reasoning for it?

Do you have sub-standard octane available at your gas stations? Are you getting engine ping on hard acceleration?

I am planning to run a bit higher compression so my plan was to use it if needed. A while back I over heard someone at the H-D dealer say using octane boosters in fuel injected bikes will screw the fuel system up?, at the time I did not think of getting into the conversation there. I think some times the fuel here is inconsistant because sometimes on diffrent fill ups it pings and other times not.

Try and build it to NOT need it

I can't see what could possibly be in an octane booster that could do that.

and I've never heard of it happening (for what that's worth).

IMHO if you buy cheap fuel you get exactly that. If timing is correct and you have no flow problems and no carbon build up you should have no problem. Matt
