i actually did pick cotton - pecans- cut okra whatever was in season as a kid. for a few extra bucks some for white farmers some for black farmers in selma alabama before moving up north to chicago. where a german guy worked me to death for 75 cents a day and a salami sandwich and some ginger ale:D
