collinsb 6th March 2005, 00:39 I would like to call to everybodys attention that Mr. smarty pants SharkDoctor is sitting on a 41 foot sailboat off the Keys in shorts and tank top while he's uploading these pictures and posting. Some people get to live like the rich and famous. Life just isn't fair!

Yeah! And I found a wireless connect so I could hassle y'all from afar AND MAKE SURE bILLY WASN'T TELLIN' TALL TALES ON ME!! And damn, you would NOT believe the thousands (well, ok, hundreds) of bikes heading to Key West. I'm dying without my bike!
And the key to Billy's post is that this is a friend's boat... but I'm not impressing anyone 'cause I keep getting these silly-ass little umbrellas in my drink stuck up my nose! Hard to look cool!
And, on behalf of all my northern friends to all you Texans that have hassled us all winter... now I'm warm so
BITE ME!
:laugh :laugh :clap :clap :clap :clap :laugh :laugh

Thanks, all.
Fenders, oil tank and battery cover are also being painted, silouettes and shadows in darkened background. Ham can is being engraved.
Spent most of my life either chasing or being chased by these guys; may as well make them a part of my other passion!!!
FastFwd 8th March 2005, 06:48 Shark,
I have to say that that is the most spot-on repro of a pic I have ever seen. Very realistic. :clap I would imagine you are pleased to say the least.
planb 8th March 2005, 07:20 I e-mailed SharkDoctor today after reading a recent article about dolphins in the Key West area beaching themselves a day or two ago...SharkDoctor responded back saying he was having some difficulties getting on the XLforum but told me it was ok to post his e-mail so we'd all know what he's up to in the sun and fun area of Florida!
Mike-
I'm actually working at Mote Marine Lab on Summerland Key, about 20 mi
from Key West and 20 mi from where they beached. Many of the animals
have been transported to our facilities here and there is a
round-the-clock watch on them. One female gave birth yesterday to a
stillborn. There are many specialists in dolphin and whale biology who
are in the Keys performing necropsies on the dead to determine cause of
death. This happens frequently and may or may not have any relationship
to subs operating in the area. There has been a sub base in KW forever
(abandoned now) but no one has ever been able to relate any groundings
to known sub operations... Always attempts to blame the groundings on
something other than disease or problems we as yet don't understand.
I can get e-mail from time to time, but haven't always been able to get
to the Forum. You can feel free to post this if you think anyone would
be interested. The animals are now in strict quarantine, but if I can
get a pix, I'll forward to you later in the week.
Best-
Jeff
