Ihave just picked up my yeller1200 from the shop. Had two new tires put on. Paid the man. Rushed to get on road to beat the rain, I was looking over the tires when I got home, something looked a little different. looked at invoice and noticed they had put a 130/90 on back and a 140/90 on the front. The shop was short handed due to a death in a mechanics family. So the shop owner worked on my ride. to make a long story short, i called and asked him what was the deal, he said he didn't even know the had 140's in the shop, that i would never know the difference. Has any one had this happen. Will Any handeling problems pop up,I have a FL fork with 16" rim on front.

I'd rather have the larger one on back. Other than that it should be ok.

not right they should switch them around go to another shop where theyu pay attention to what they are doing. If they make a mistake that simple what do you think they might do when they tackle something more difficult? MHO

I've been told the 140 will rub the belt on back, I checked the 130 clearance and it is very close.

with the 16" on front and back you have to look at numbers to tell the difference, but that was what I was doing.

Hi.

From what I have seen looking for tires for my ride, there is a difference in front and rear tires.
I would take it back right away, and have them straiten this out.
I believe it is the weight carring of the tires and compounds, so grip could be a factor too.

Your paying for work to be done right. Who's gonna be responsible if something happens and you get hurt. Take it back and tell him thats not what you wanted. Sounds like he's just too lazy to have to fix what he screwed up. Make him make it right! Those 140's are probably an order someone cancelled (Not a selling piece) and he wanted to unload em.

Imo I would not go there anymore. What if he was as careless when working on your brakes?

I agree with Chip, that is not what you paid for and it should be done right!
