I have a '90 xl frame, with xlcr bodywork ( CR tank, storz tail piece, 1/4 fairing) and a 2k blast. I think the blast is kinda cool, but it is not my idea of a cool looking bike, so I need to drastically alter the appearance of it. I'm thinking I could finagle the motor into my XL chassis and have a single cylinder XLCR replica. Any one mounted a blast motor in a sportster frame? My other idea ios to build a three wheeled mini car with it. I was in Frisco and they had a rental shop for "scootercars" They were basiclly 150cc scooters with two wheeled front suspensions on them, and two seat fiberglass bodies. I rode (drove?) one and it seemed kinda cool. I just have no idea what would be a good donor for a front suspension. The scootercars looked like they had quad suspensions, but with way less travel and heavier shocks. I'm just kinda tossing around the concept, and trying to decide what to do to my blast. Any input is appreciated. scootrcars: http://www.mastincrosbie.com/photo-album/sf-image2.htm

Aren't Buell engines made so that that become a load bearing part of the bike, I don't beleive that they would bolt up to an XL frame.
If you have a BLAST you want to use as a donor bike, check out

You can make one of these

They are kinda cool, but not my thing. I'm not into swoopy insect-looking bikes. I think i could make some mount plates and solid mount it. I have seen other blasts installed in xl frames before.

Looks a little...ok, I mean a lot like an OCC bike.

I like the OP's idea better if he can make it work.

Just my $0.02.
