For March I will open up the contest to all XL Forum members...Premium and non-premium.

For this contest you will need to design a new official XL Forum patch. The winner will receive $150.

Rules of this contest.

1. The contest begins right now and all patch designs need to be emailed to me by 21 March 2005. Email address bplinson@xlforum.net

2. You patch design must remain a secret, meaning that you will not post it in the forums, anywhere else on this website, or anywhere else on the Internet. This is to insure that all ideas are original.

3. The winner will be choosen by the members of the website via a poll.

Patch Design guidelines.

1. Patch must say www.xlforum.net somewhere on it.

2. Must not use any copyrighted symbols i.e. HD Bar & Shield.

3. Must not use the words Harley, Harley-Davidson.

4. Can use the word Sportster.

5. The design you make will be what the patch looks like.

Why change Bert???

If we have a different one each year then that will dilute the identity of it.....

The one we have is identifiable as our logo....

I want to let people have a choice.

What do the existing patches look like I have not received mine yet. That would give me an idea what not to make it look like for a new design or a way to maybe enhance the current design...

I like the design as is. It would be interesting to see other ideas :) I wish I was better with photoshop I would give it a go. I had a hard egnough time doing my simple avatar tonight. :laugh

I would only suggest an slightly smaller patch that could be worn on the front of my jacket over the breast pocket.

I agree with some of the posts here... keep with one design. One design keeps it unique. Just my .02 cents...

PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE THE PATCH. THE CURRENT ONE IS EXCELLENT, WONDERFUL, WHATEVER. I like it a lot. I want to buy another sticker for my IronHead and one for my 2nd helmet the same as what i already have. The shape, color, etc is very attractive.

I like the currentlogo/patch. That being said, having a choice is good. :)

i think the patches should stay the way they are. they look cool to begin with.

I will be posting the patch designs by the end of the weekend. I will not get rid of the current patch but will have both available.

I like the current patch. Has its own identity. Just my 02.
