Well it's 3 weeks since I picked up my new Orange XR1200, and I have just ticked over 1,000 Km's on her. She is still quite tight, but is starting to loosen up and rev out freely.
am falling for this Orange delight, and can't get enough of her. Even after working a 12 hour shift, I get her out of the garage and go for a squirt up the hills around Adelaide.
First 1,000 Km impressions;
Love the brakes, plenty of power & feel, with a little too much initial bite.
Front forks are a tad on the soft side (for my hard late braking style of riding) but a gold valve replacement and harder springs will sort out that.
Fuel range is 210 Km's to a tank at the moment, but that will change after the TTS tune goes in and the high flow filter and Remus exhaust system.:D
Seat is a plank, but if you are playing up the hills then you aren't sitting on the seat anyway:tour
Rear shock are great as is the ground clearance with only the hero knobs touching the bitumen on full lean angles.
Got a custom number plate that reads XR1200 (would post up a pic, but you're not allowed untill 15 posts. WTF.
Will post up another ride impression when the pipe, tune, and filter are installed.
Regards
