I have a 97 Cyclone with a V&H SSR2 system. Whenever I ride in the upper rpm range(4500 and above) my system always fails due to stress cracks and such. I have rewelded this system 3 times on the header pipe(MIG) and once on the top of the muffler (TIG). It still cracks in other places. Has anyone had this issue or offer any suggestions? Is there anyway to dampen the harmonic vibration out of the exhaust system? I was thinking about weight dampers like bar end weights, whaddaya think?

Sounds like you have more problems than just your V&H pipe. If any part of the exhaust system is even just a bit out of alignment it will crack at the weakest point. When installing you want to ensure that all bolts are loose from tailpipe to the heads, then start to tighten from the rear mounts of the muffler and finish at the heads. And you are sill probably going to break it eventually. the V&H pipes just are not up to the Buells vibrations. :(
