i would like to put a wide tire on my 1998 1200C 150 or 180 would be nice but i don't want to have my sprocket cover with that ugly gap in it. 150 is probly enough but can i get it under my stock fender.? also i can go to chain but was hopein not. any ideas would be great. also i am a custom steel fabricator so i will most likely build my own swing arm if a store bought one is too high.

I think there was someone on this forum that did this. I don't think they had to switch swingarms or anything to do it either. If you go to a size that requires a swingarm switch, they are too high.

if you do a search for tire sizes you will find a few posts on this question but one of the posts says a 150 is the max size for the stock rim.
