Hi,

I think the street slammer bars ( 56391-04 Street Slammer Bar with Integrated Risers) (http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/gma_product.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=84552444876509 6&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302289407&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=2534374302289407&bmUID=1110055414274&bmLocale=en_US)are very nice, and would love to have them on my '05 883C.

Does anyone know if it is at all possible to fit them on the front end, and what to do with the speedo. I'm thinking of integrating the speedo in the tank somehow, but not the "ordinary" dash-solution.

Anyone seen anything like this or maybe have any picures?

i don't have ur answer but i too would love to be able to have that on my 04.i think its possible but you would have to lenghten all the wire coming into ur speed housing. now there is some one on here who put their speedo on the right side down tube.it looked awesome, but i don't know if he had too extend his wiring or not.

maybe someone who knows alittle more can help us both out.
jay.

Check out http://www.wild1inc.com (http://www.wild1inc.com/) they have all sorts of
bar styles that will suit your needs. The W0501 is the same bar
but a cheaper price than paying for Willie G's retirement. Anything
H-D is way over priced, compared to the after market suppliers.

The W501's are 8' rise, 11.5 pullback, and 30.5 inches wide.
Been running these bars for over 2yrs and they are comfortable
to say the least. As far as the speedo goes you can always get
a Dakota Digital speedo and mount it under the bars.

I'm not sure about the dimensions you'd need for the HD bars, but these from Arlen Ness might fit. They have a few other styles than just this one at Drag Specialities (http://www.dragspecialties.com/fatbook/).

Thank you guys, I'm now convinced I can do it :)

I also saw the speedo on the right side, and agree, it looks cool, but that was with a peanut tank though?

I am also installing the wild1 chubbys on my bike(8inch rise). I am going to use the speedo adaptor from accutronix that adapts the stock gauge to fit the T-bar style drag bars. I am attaching a link to the adaptor from accutronix. Also check ebay for the bars, I got mine for under 100 dollars delivered.

Have a good one...Tom

The Dakota speedo will not self cancel your turn signals. This system
does not have a speed output wire for automatic turn signal canceling
modules. So you have to do it manually after each turn. Just becomes
2nd nature after a while.

The wires have been extended, the wires are spliced and hidden under
the triple tree cover at the top of the trees. All you need is a 18-20
gauge wire to extend the wires. Any Lowes or Home Depot store will carry
all your wiring needs. :D
