Here's my dilema..
Over the weekend I changed out my bars, extended the wires and ran them
internally in the bars.....
NOW everything works except the running lights.... in the BACK?!

The rear blinkers are fine but the running lights are dead.

This is very confusing since I didn't think those would be tied into the
front of the bike. I had the seat off, maybe I bumped something putting it back on.

I haven't really researched it yet, I ran out of time so I thought I would
throw this out to you fine folks to see if anyone had a jumping off point.

Did they ever illuminate? Stock they don't as amber cannot be used for running lights on the rear. The kit that HD sells includes the electronics module and 2 red lenses.

Stock, the rear doesn't light unless you use a conversion module from Harley, Kuryakyn or Badlands. All three have a conversion unit (takes minutes to install).
Unless you had one already, the lights will only work as turn signals.
Front will be on all the time.

You're right, I was just being paranoid.

The conversion went so smooth I just knew SOMETHING would go wrong.

But hey could we recommend the run light kits, it one of the 1st mods I did. I feel much safer at night just knowing that I'm lit up like an x-mas tree.

When it comes to rear running lights, as opposed to run/brake lights, could you plug a front 3 wire unit into the block under the tail light where the international bikes have connections?
