Narley 27th November 2004, 07:36 here is the first dyno. its to 6500 rpm, which is where i will take it, but later this winter I want to spin it 7500 just for the bragging rights.

Narley 27th November 2004, 07:39 ooooooooooopps!
well thats the best I could do.
I wish the scale up the y axis was coasrser as this doesnt make the torque curve look too smooth.
Again sorry bout the size ,but the forum seems to have an attachment issue.
stevo 27th November 2004, 09:29 G'day Narley.....niiiiiiicccceeeee
You can use irfranview ..it's a freebie program available on the net and it will resize your pics to whatever ya want
Flamin883 27th November 2004, 15:08 That's a pretty impresive sheet there Narley. Jus what is all in that there moter?
txsporty 27th November 2004, 15:36 Sure are some Awesome numbers!!! :yikes
maddog 27th November 2004, 16:21 Yeah man, what were the ingredients for that soup dude?
barry1967 27th November 2004, 16:26 well, first off, It's a FRIGGIN 88 CU INCH motor. Can't go no bigger without flywheels. I'm looking at a 84cu incher myself. The dyno I saw for it was 105 HP at 6200 and 100ft lbs at like 4000 with 10 to 1 and a mild set of cams.
Damn that's a lot of HP ya got there :D . What are you running for comp and cams in that. Very nice.
I'll tuck my weewee betwenn my legs and run away now. :frownone
Narley 27th November 2004, 19:06 If the scale on the left went up 10 at a time rather than 5 the torque curve would look more standrad.
Its 88 inch AND HAS THE FLYWHEELS DONE. tHAT WAS ONE OF MY CONCERNS AND YOU MAY RECALL MY PREVIOS QUERIES. i WANTED TO KNW THAT THE RODS WOULD BE ABLE TO TAKE IT AND THEN SOME (NITROUS). THE FLYWHEEL LIGHTENING AND THE LIGHTWEIGHT RODS WERE JUST A BONUS.
Ooops sorry for yellin.
heres the rods and flywheel assembly ,just go down the page to the pic of the sporster 6.926 lightweight rotating assembly. its pretty.

its got a mikuni 45....tstorm heads from zippers. Je psitons. the ccr is just under 12-1. the bike will rev to 7500 rpm and I will have to do it at least once (on purpose)!!
rinehart bub custom built stepped header and 2-1 exhaust.
I dont even have the thing yet, its just been built and I just bought it. I have to say at this point....there are way too many amazing suppliers and builders along the east and west coast of the states....this bike has very good parts and labor that would have cost a mortgage up here...and/ or would have been unavailable.
for instance that exhuast...and the rods.
the pistons have beenlightened...this thing should be a rever. The build has the exact cams I wanted. red shift 643...they will be tame enough to 4000 rpm for the wife to still ride the bike. She picks up 22 lbs of tq from 4000 to 5500 rpm...thats when the fun should start., notice it doesnt have that typical torque plunge after 5252...it holds 100 lbs till about 6500 rpm............what the hell am I gonna do with this thing during our LONG winter....I am excited.
Trap door , back cut gears.....
chain conversion
nice rc wheels
ss rocker boxes and roller rockers for the high lift cams 645 lift)
the builder was brooke mccabe! pro gas ahdra #1 plate.
its amazing the amount of talent down there...these people have too much time and money.
But this time i benefit.
gotta go...the wifes callin...
Flamin883 27th November 2004, 19:23 Narley, I'm suprised you can hear the wife callin, but I think I can just make out that bike callin your name from the garage. CONGRATS, she sounds cool, nah she's abad ass
Narley 16th December 2004, 05:39 got it ...unloaded it..put it in the back of the shop and fired it up!
gwcrim 16th December 2004, 15:06 Who lightened your crank? I looked and looked several years ago but no one would do it.
Narley 17th December 2004, 06:13 Who lightened your crank? I looked and looked several years ago but no one would do it.

helf way down the page...the 6.929 sportser rods and wheels are mine.
stevo 17th December 2004, 06:43 I like the hollow ones with the Balance Masters rings on..........might have to get carried away with a set for mine....
gwcrim 17th December 2004, 16:47 Yeah, those hollow wheels are wild.
Narley 16th March 2005, 08:08 There have been some surprising comments about that guys work. I can only guess its above ordinary eh.
ted 16th March 2005, 13:23 I used the S&S lightweight race flywheels with supreme rods for my 84" build. 3 3/4" bore stock stroke. It is a very smooth running motor. lotsa power too. havent had it on a dyno yet but figger about 115 hp with torque pretty close to the hp #.
Ted
stevo 16th March 2005, 13:32 Hey Ted ... ya just cracked 100 posts :D:D
I'm usin a Supreme rod set on mine too .... and I'm thinkin of cuttin the guts out of a set of wheels as I've got a few sets here..
jaws 16th March 2005, 15:28 sweet bike.................
HD1200R 16th March 2005, 17:01 Awesome numbers Narley! What times do you think she will do at the track? Are you still going to add nitrous to her too?
Narley 16th March 2005, 19:17 grinning garage racer....those question are answered by each other. Ha. If it wont do 10.2 it will get the juice. If it will fairly consistently hit 10.2 then I will add the nitrous just becuase 9.9 harlies are a rare thing.
Narley 16th March 2005, 19:56 Ask me again at the end of my season.......
First couple hundred miles are a-ok
jaws 16th March 2005, 20:55 nice lady too :D or am I crossing a line here? In that case I didn't say anything...
Narley 17th March 2005, 00:25 Hmmmm, clarify for me ...what lady?
ooooooooo do you mean athe photo site....yeah shes great and she rides.
jaws 17th March 2005, 14:43 yeah on photobucket :) and she rides, cool! Trying to get my wife to do so also, not yet succesful :)
Shamdog 17th March 2005, 15:11 Be careful what you wish for...My wife hated my bike (and me) when I bought it. Took her for a ride and then she was cool with it (and me). Now she wants her own - And I gotta buy it!!!
Narley 17th March 2005, 23:51 Here is a good story. I was an avid dirt biker till I hurt myself too many times. Sold the ktm ...very sad.
So I want to start street riding.....wife says no....understandable...two kids and a business....responsibilities ya know.
so ....one day we are in a harley shop and I says....awwww, go ahead sit on it!
Awwww, wow you look great on that.
Wife says REALLY?
I says REALLY.
So we buy it .
She takes the course and starts riding and loves it. Several girlfriends get licences and bikes too, now they are a gang. SO.....
I says...Ha ,what about me....can I get one now. Shes agrees because now she see's that riding isnt too dangerous and its fun. So she gets me one. All the husbands of aforementioned girlfriends all get bikes ( side note-not all get licences....guys heh.)
Ha now I am doing what she said I would never do...STREET RIDE.
The racing came naturally for me shortly after cause its just my nature.
gwcrim 18th March 2005, 15:01 Here is a good story. I was an avid dirt biker till I hurt myself too many times.
I'm going the opposite direction. The speed trials didn't bother me, but my street riding habits do. So I'm riding off road more often. Suits my 8 yr old son. He's quite a rider for his age.
I don't mind falling off a dirt bike. But falling on a street bike SUCKS!
jaws 18th March 2005, 15:33 :smoke Master of Psychology :clap :clap

Yep the kids love it. My boys out grew dirt. One got jis car and both found girls...so that time of riding together is just awesome memories.
I am trying to remeber if you are the guy with the big bore old scholl 2 stroke...was it a cr 500?
gwcrim 18th March 2005, 19:16 I got a KX500 overbored to 520 with a little porting thrown in just for good measure. No substitute for cubic inches, ya know!
Narley 19th March 2005, 01:30 Yeah I think that was you I think You even posted pics of it.....what forum was that?
