The snow is finally melted and the flood waters have receded.
I have my wool socks all washed, and some friends wanna ride Fri, Sat and Sun.
We'll probably either ride North on 9, or South on 5 then 101 North. Maybe to JR's Hideaway in Belfair.
I'm just wondering if there's any un-ridable areas I need to be aware of after all the flooding?

i haven't heard of any roads that are unridable, but i read the DOT has said to stay off the shoulder because there is a shitload of crap there. i ride through over the west seattle bridge and in sodo everyday to get to work and i've yet to see washington roads worse than those...haha

just stay alert

Thanks mes. I figured it was probably bad down there.

Yeah.. They still haven't swept up the recycled sand and gravel. I already lost a headlight this week... hopefully i'll still have all my teeth when I get home. I plan to stay away from the big trucks.

yeah as soon as there was no ice on the roads i started riding again and there was so much sand all over the place. i was sliding around like crazy...not fun.

i haven't had too many problems though lately.

i'm just glad the forecast is looking good this week. its nice to go out and not need my raingear

Down here in Portland, the gravel is mostly gone, but we have pot holes that can swallow a Honda civic.

Tri-met made the bus's remain chained up after the snow was gone.

It will take months to fix these streets.

Didn't stop me from riding to work today, it was like 50 and clear.

The Belfair area, as well as the Seabeck area and most roads in between, as well as out toward Purdy and the Key peninsula have lots of loose sand/gravel from the road crews. Most areas are passible, but use extreme caution. Ride On!

If you want to do the loop around the North Olympic Peninsula you'll find a lot of sand on the highway. Be sure to stay away from hwy 112 near Pysht/West Twin River, they had a bit of a landslide. (http://www.sequimgazette.com/static/slideshow/112slide/)

That's most likely where I'll be. Thanks.
