ADVANCE ORDER OPPORTUNITY ON HELMETS

Hi Guys & Gals

It's that time of the year when most of us have our bikes parked and the wholesalers are wondering if their phones have stoped working.

I approached my helmet venders with the idea of running a promotion with us on some of their helmets. Things must be pretty slow for them because they said yes!

Here's the deal; I'm taking advance orders for a large quantity order I'll be placing on February 10. I will ship your orders the next week via 2-3 day Priority mail.

DANTE SKID LIDS AVAILABLE IN MEDIUM, LARGE AND EXTRA LARGE.

THEY ARE TOP QUALITY HELMETS THAT ARE LIGHT WEIGHT WITH Y STRAPS MANY HAVE QUICK RELEASES AND SOME HAVE SNAPS FOR VISORS.

NOTE: THESE HELMETS ARE NOT DOT APPROVED.

PRICE: DANTES $12.99

THIS IS A ONE TIME DEAL I DOUBT IF I'LL BE ABLE TO MAKE THIS OFFER AGAIN.

IN CASE YOU ARE WONDERING; YES YOUR 15% DISCOUNT APPLIES WITH THIS OFFER! THAT PUTS THE DANTES AT ABOUT ELEVEN BUCKS

Here's the deal. Any helmet that isn't certified to comply with DOT standards cannot be sold as a protective helmet. If they have not been tested and certified to meet DOT standards they are sold as a novelty helmet.

Having said that, these helmets do provide some resistance to impact and skid damage however they are mainly used as you mentioned to provide minmum comliance with the law.

Damn, I sound like a darn lawyer. I just want to make sure the feds don't kick down my door for selling some helmets for Eleven Bucks! :wonderlan

Two questions:

How can we make sure if we order one we are not getting the ones with visor snaps?

How much is shipping?

I do on occasion were a novelty :shhhh and mine needs to be replaced so this might work.

Thanks, but no thanks. If I'm going to wear a helmet its going to be one that's going to protect my head if i were to crash. I don't see the point of wearing a fake helmet?

Don't think he was looking for opinions on what to wear. but to let members know he has a good deal on some novelty helmets if that's what they choose to wear.

I ordered two and it was $12.85 shipping, just under $35 for two and shipping

what a freakin good deal.

Thanks Bro!

If you are dependant on a bucket to ride, then Id find another mode of transportaion. Ive been riding for over 45 years, been downed many a times on the street, and have never had my head hit yet.
But then I did send years learning how to fall for racing. Something that is not learned any more, except thru doing, which is when it is to late.:(

Hi,

To each his own. I just sell em, I don't try to tell people what to wear. I sell a variety of helmets going all the way up to Snell approved full face. To be honest with you I would rather sell a $100+ Snell than a $11 novelty but this was the deal I was offered.

I may want to get one, not for riding, but for working under cars.

My racks at work only go up 6 feet, but I am 6'2".

As too my bike, I wear a Snell rated full face.

Ouch! that hurts just to think about it. At 5'6'' I like to tell my taller friends that designs like that are short people's revenge. ( We are also responsible for putting ceiling fans in homes with seven foot ceilings :)

Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad you like them. We are getting virtually no orders so I made arrangements for yours to be shipped directly from the vender.

just strap a 20dollar bill to your head, if you are going novelty try advanced carbon composites best novelty out there , they take a layer of kevlar and a layer of carbon fiber then fully lined with foam rubber and you get an adjustable lining that you change for fit and comfort.a bit expensive 100.00 yhey also make a dot approved . whats your head worth?

this thread should be deleted.it promotes dangerous behavior..these helmets are a joke and anyone promoting or selling them should give their head a shake.ask yourself one question if my child wanted to go for a ride would you give them one of these to wear..i think not.
just because its not the popular opinion doesnt mean im wrong, but then again i wear a fullface helmet and its worth about $500.00 because my brain is worth more than $11.00 isnt yours

Everybody is entitled to their own opinion.

I'm working on a group discount on some nice full face Snell approved helmets probably around the end of October beginning of November. Sales at the wholesale level really drop off at the end of the riding season. It's a good time to negotiate a discount.

For what it's worth, they will be a heck of a lot less than $500. In my opinion you were shafted. Someone is taking a 300 % or more markup on your helmet.

So, a helmet keeps you safe on a bike? Or does a heavy expensive helmet give you a false sense of security so you override your ability? Here we go again.

Your insurance company doesn't think a full face helmet lessens the chance of injury or you would either get a discount for wearing it, or it would be mandated for coverage.
Law enforcement doesn't think a full face helmet is a boon to their officers safety or they would be mandated.
What makes you such an expert that you know better than insurance companies and law enforcment agencies? Think about it. You have a perception. That's it, a perception.

I own a couple of novelty helmet's. If you want protection these are not what you want. If you want a lightweight answer to law compliance ( not that they are legal) these are the ticket. I put a DOT sticker on the back of mine and it makes me feel better though!
