Here's probably a strange request, but does anyone have the instructions for the auxiliary lamps? Now that the times have changed, and I'm using the lamps more at night, seems i might be bothering the cagers some with my lamps.
What do the directions say for how these should be adjusted? If anyone has a PDF, it would really be appreciated. I had an indie install them for me and they never gave me the paperwork back.
Thanks

Hi.
To get the most out of any headlight, you should have them aimed. You need a tool to do it right, it mounts on the front of the lens(With a suction cup) and on a level floor, you set it in degrees. Rule of thump for low beams. 1 1/2 degrees down from center.
A passing lamp i would set at 1 degree down.
The full specs should be in the factory manual.

I'll look up my instructions but I believe they are aimed to the same point as the headlight. Just aim the headlight at a garage door then turn on the aux lights. If they are aimed higher than the headlight it should be obvious by looking at their pattern on the door. Maybe the headlight is aimed too high?

Is it every cager you meet, or just one or two? If it's some but not all, don't assume your passing lamps are wrong. I'm sure mine are adjusted OK, and a few cagers flash their lights at me. I figure: at least they saw me.

I've now found the instructions from my passing lamps, and all it says about adjusting them is:Test headlamp high and low beams, and the auxiliary lamps for proper operation. Aim the auxiliary lamps and tighten the lamp mounting nuts.
Not much help, is it? :frownthre
