I got my 04 1200 custom Black [ofcourse] at HD of suffolk in Oakdale, Long Island NY Island. Ordered her in like july, picked her up on 11/16/03.
The Sales dept. is OK, they wouldn't budge a penny, but did throw in SEIIs slip fit muffs, and a carb re -jet. All in all the price was about average ffrom what I gather. They do let you climb all over the bikes, ask any stupid questions, and will leave you alone to screw with the bikes all you want.
They are a little cheap when it comes to a referel, I got my buddy to drop 20K on a new wide glid with some toys added. Figured I would at least get a T shirt .
BUT on the other hand The Parts and service guys fall all over themselves for me. Had a few issues with the re-jet as she would pop once in a while. I'll bet I rode her in 2 or 3 times with out notice , I was greeted with a smile and a 5/10 minute wait. The service MGR. even told me about the tank strip re-call thing. They ordered it and called me about a week later, I should up just a closing. NO problem, They had a guy stay and install it.
As common with the 04 side covers, mine almost fell off. HD corp. has NOT made a re-call on the clips that hold it on. BUT my parts guy just threw me TWO, of the new style at no charge.
When I wanted to change my stock torture device seat to the sun downer [ great] they told me I could get a full refund for 48 hours if I didn't like it.
One of them even gave me a cute tip about changing the stock Derby cover bolts to the chrome ones. The HD kit is like 15/20 Dollars. He hooked me up with Chrome allen head bolts and washers for $4.98.
They always give me little tips on what works and what is a waste of $$
My only bitch is there stock is a little short. Not a lot to look at.
If I ever buy another HD, Suffolk of Oakdale NY gets my $$$$$$$$$$

I'm glad for you and your new bike Nevar. There are some really good dealerships. They are easy to spot, as the employees will bend over backwards to make you happy you own a Harley. I'm fortunate to have (3) dealer within a 50 mile radius. Two are fully stocked, and a small dealer out in the country, gives great service and best price on accessories.
