Figured I'd give it a shot at putting up a pic of My First HD. I did all the installations my self, except for the carb re-jet which was done free at the dealers. The mod list is as follows
Sundowner seat, HD tall sissy bar and side plates, SEII A/C, Directionals moved to the lower fork clamp, Tail/break light conversion [all 3 red], all the stickers and reflectors GONE, Timer cover with a SKULL made it myself, Flame grips, Kuryakan Iso pegs with Offset extensions & long shifter peg, HD head light ring, Cross Gas cap and a bunch of chrome [ and RED] Bolt head covers
The best two additions are The HD Mini Apes
Samson Big Gun IIs, long stlye slashers. No baffels, just home made lolly-Pops

Yes there was more than enough wire. I used the KIT from HD. As a matter of fact I did NOT have to cut any wires.
Thanks for the nice complement

I did a ton of research to find a Long style Pipe. Mine are made by samson
WWW.samsonusa.com. There # XL2-567. But a few notes, get the big gun IIs, they have the heat shields, no baffels. I made lolly pops, the holes are already drilled in the end of the pipes.
As I recall they set me back about $400. from Denis kirk supply. But go look around at other supply houses.
Good luck, if you get them and need help I'm in NY long Island.
Vinnie :clap

Nice ride Nevar! How did you get the sticky glue off the paint when you removed the reflectors?

Very nice, Vinnie! I like the way everything went together so well...was there any trial and error or are you just naturally artistic? I can't draw a stick man, so I have to rely on already produced pictures and then say, "That's what I want!"...anyway, enjoy that scoot to its fullest...it should be quite a chick magnet!

Rumor has it WD-40 will work. But anything that will remove tar or bugs should work.

WD-40 works great on the rear, but used a scotch brite on the forks also!!

Zippo lighter fluid is great for removing adhesives also.

I know at work we use Goo Gone and it hasn't failed us yet. It says it gets off all of the old glue and stuff of that nature and I know that if it can take off a few years old masking tape residue, it can get off anything. I think we got it in the painters section at Walmart.
