What pre-07 Rubbermount parts WON'T work?

Ok, I know the seats from the 04-06 will not work on my bike. What other assessories or maintanence parts are specific to the 2007's?:doh

the reason I ask is because this page from h-d says the seats will work

The dealer (and the other seats listed) show 07 to be unique. Mustang and Corbin are both saying the 07 seats will be available around March. The EFI unit resulted in frame changes. A 2004 Sundowner WILL NOT fit my bike, as I had one lined up, but it would not fit.

No, Roadster is right:laugh ...they DONT FIT since they Don't have 'em.

ok . the only reason I even posted the page is because I am thinking about a solo seat for my 04 and I saw the xl 50 listed with the 04 and up .
its gonna be a nightmare to keep up with all the changes h-d has been making.

Yeah, I've been researching some upgrades and am a little leary of those that say fits 04 and up. I always ask "does it fit an 07" before buying.

The seat on an 04-06 will work if you cut out a relief for the ecm that is mounted under the seat. Several people have done it. Dont know if there would be long term issues, ie seat pan cracking or breaking down however.

I hope some of those who have done this "cut out" will post here...I am leary of doing this until I know how others have fared. The security system is also new for 07s.

yeah that alarm system supprised me when all it did was flash, they could at least hooked it up to the horn like most car factory systems, i ordered and installed the siren II on my bike its decently loud but sounds more like a bird than an alarm it costs $100. They have a pager II which I also bought has a range 1/2 mile for $54. The older siren didnt have the pager transmitter built in, saw some on e-bay for $50 but then you gotta spend like $160 more for the pager.:tour

Voltage regulator cover for 04 and up doesn't fit. (spacers are too short).
