Does anyone else's idle seem like it is super fast on the 2007 1200? Is there a way to adjust it?

Thanks,
Barry

Barry,

My '07 xlr idles at 1000 rpm's after warm-up, but occassionally a little higher after stopping from a fast ride in hot weather. After a few moments, it's back down to 1000. I don't think there's an adjustment without playing with the ECM.

yeah mine seems high also compared to my friends 05. I asked harley about it when I got my 1000mi checkup thay told me its normal. It will drop down sometimes at traffic lights after I been riding it a while, I got trains by me,my luck seems i always catch em at the crossing. so I often find myself just shutting down if im in for a long wait instead of letting it idle too long.:banadanc

I don't know about HD, but some cars with FI have a set screw to adjust butterfly, very similiar to what is on front side of carb.

mine idles at 1000 when warm, near 1200 when cold and sometimes takes a second or two to settle down to idle speed at a light.

I don't have a tach so I can't check it. It just sounds fast compared to other bikes I've had.
