I plan on doing a chopped rear end and was going to replace my taillight with a small bobber tail light and custom signals. After taking the fender off all the wires route into the rear taillight assembly. How do I by pass that and wire it all separate with out using that because I will not be putting that peice back on. By the way this is on a 2006 883R. Thanks for all the help.

Pull the leads from the plugs, and solder/crimp them directly to the targets (brake, running, and turn signals).
Did it on mine, no problem ('cept for swapping the left and right :D ).
